17 Apr 77 - Lincoln - 35th Anniversary of Augsberg Raid flown in Chipmunk and signed by Mrs. Nettleton wife of Sqn.Ldr. Nettleton who won his VC for his part in the raid.Also Signed on the back by Ken Brown CGM in 44 Sqn Waddington 1943. also Pilot on Dams Raid 17th May 1943 With photograph of Sqn.Ldr. Nettleton and raid awards etc.

12 Nov 79 - Lincoln - 35th Anniversary of the Sinking of the Tirpitz. Flown by 617 Sqn. and IX Sqn. Both Vulcan flights passed over the point of Tramso Fjord where the Tirpitz lay when she was sunk. Personally Signed by Ludovic Kennedy joined Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve 7 years service narrowly missed an encounter with the Tirpitz off Norway, is well known on Television and has made several films and a author of several books including Nelson's Captains, , Sub - lieutenant , A personal Record of the Warat Sea, and the best seller, Pursuit, The Chase and Sinking of the Bismark and mence, The Life and Death of the Tirpitz also Signed by J D Brown served in the RN as an Observer on Sea Venoms and Sea Vixens between 1957 to1969 . He then moved to the Naval Historical Branch ( MoD ) , and head of the branch since 1977. Cover flown to the USA in Vulcan B Mk 2 XL 319 departed 2nd June 1980 RAF Scampton to USAF Loring to USAF Offutt to Harlington. While at Harlingen covers flown in B17 G ( N - 7227c) Texas Raiders. Then back. Was 1st RAF Vulcan to visit the famous Confederate Air Force base at Rebel Field Harlingen Texas. Signed Roy Leedon

Flew Halifax !!'s and engaged in low level flights on moon light nights taking and dropping agents and containers of weapons ete to various underground movements in occupied Europe Norwegian,Danish,Polish,Belgian, Dutch & French.Shot down and ditched in September 1943. After a few days the 4 remaining crew members landed on the Dutch Coast and picked up and become POW's
