Sir George Cayley. 1853 The 1st Recorded flight by a adult in an aircraft Sir George Cayleys coachman, launched from the top of a hill , glided 900 feet across Brompton Dale, before coming to a crashing halt. . The coachman was unhurt but he left his employment with Sir George that Day. Flown cachet on the back flown in the Sky Watch Air Patrol Cessena.
