Adolf Galland was an experienced Ace by the time World War 11 started. Adolf Galland fought in the Battles of Poland,France and Britain, leading the Famous JG26 Abbeville Boys in the West. He flew in combat against the RAF’s best including Douglas Bader , Bob Stanford – Tuck , Sailor Malan and Johnnie Johnson. In 1941 at the age of 29 was promoted to Inspector General of the Fighter Arm which he held until the end of 1944. In February 1942 The German Leader selected Galland personally to organise and conduct the fighter escort for the spectacular Channel Dash. He became the youngest general in the German high Command was given responsibility for the Fighter Operations in Sicily just before the Allied landings.As Allied air superiority increased he was given responsibility for the Night Fighter Arm but never succeeded in convincing German Leader to concentrate the Luftwaffe’s entire effort on air defence. Open disagreements with Goering’s tactics led to his dismissal. He reverted to combat flying, forming the famous JV 44 wing flying Me262 jet fighter to become the only General in History to lead a squadron into battle. With 104 Air Victories, all the the West. Adolf Galland received the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds. War II Luftwaffe Fighter Ace104 Air Victories

Captain of many Zeppelins including the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin 1920 and LZ130 Graf Zeppelin 2 who flew over 1,000,000 miles on 840 flights in 24 different Zeppelins over 25 years Also Signed by Lieutenant Carl Deilmann during WW1 he became a fighter pilot serving on the Western Front in 1916 to 1917 with Jasta 6.
