Rao, also called Father of Indian Economic Reforms, is best remembered for launching India's free market reforms that brought the nearly bankrupt nation back from the edge. He remains to date the only Indian Prime Minister to have been convicted in a corruption case, although a higher court later overturned that decision.Before his death in 2004, Rao had the satisfaction of being acquitted in every single one of them. 75th Anniv RAF 617 Sqn Signed Trent . Tirpitz 617 Pilot 1 April 1993 Bahamas FDI postmark on 75th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force Bahamas stamp. 75th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force. Black Flown cachet flown in Tornado GR1, ZG399, one of a formation of 4 Tornados of 617 Sqn from RAF Marham on a combined Air Operations sortie participating in Exercise Brilliant Invader. Personally Signed by Ken Trent, DFC & Bar.Served as a Pilot with 576, 625 Sqns from mid 1944 and completed 47 operations flying Lancasters before being posted to 617 Sqn during February 1945. He then completed a further 10 operations with 617 which consisted mainly flying Lancaster B1 Specials carrying 22,000 lb bombs. Some of his exploits are described in Alan Coopers book published by Goodall entitled Beyond The Dams to the Tirpitz. These included the landing of a Lancaster ladened with a 22,000lb bomb.
